The Angel of Independence

It’s been a long time since I posted anything new. It’s been a long time since I posted anything anywhere actually. You see I took a bit of a hiatus from most social media platforms. I got off Facebook and Instagram. I still have a twitter account but it doesn’t see much action except the occasional dig I level at Nick Adams: Alph Male, or MTG.

This last year has been a real doozie. I’ll spare you the gory details… I’d taken a commission back in March. Normally I turn around commissioned work in about 8 weeks give or take. I happened to take this job on shortly before I was to be completely overwhelmed by circumstances beyond my control. My parents both died. My youngest son was afflicted with deep emotional issues that almost took him from me as well. Got a bout of covid, of course. Then we wrapped it all up with me having to to have major abdominal surgery which incapacitated me for weeks. I’m just now getting back to what constitutes “normal” in my world. Take it from me. Get your colonoscopy, folks!

Needless to say I ran a little behind my standard timeline. I just put the final touches on this beauty last week. Just in time as my Very patient client wants to have it delivered before Thanksgiving. C

Can do. Plus who doesn’t like a road trip?

I’m hoping he likes it as much as I do. I think she’s gorgeous.

Talk to you sooner than later.

Cheers!

I’m so sorry to hear of your woes. I understand completely. You know I always love your work, including this one. You have a defining ability to show what is there without the details others put in. It is a defining grace for your art. Emotional.
